Network Underwriter

Overview:
 
The Network Underwriter’s main responsibility is to sell underwriting opportunities to new and existing businesses by forming mutual relationships to promote both the businesses and RPR.
 
Qualifications:
  • Communications degree with two years’ experience in sales
  • Live a lifestyle that does not violate the teaching and beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church, according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church
  • Firm commitment to the mission of RPR
  • Belief in RPR’s product and services

Duties:

  • Sell underwriting packages to network-wide business
  • Use a variety of methods to reach businesses to promote RPR
  • Guide the business from the initial contact to the airing of the radio spots
  • Communicate with Underwriting Assistant to help meet the business’ needs
  • Collaborate with Programming Team to write, record, edit and upload radio spots
  • Work closely with the Listener Relationship Coordinators to turn referrals into underwriting opportunities
  • Continue to connect with businesses to foster longstanding relationships

Director of Advancement

Overview:
 
The Director of Advancement is responsible for identifying, developing and executing all fundraising and donor stewardship efforts to further the mission of Real Presence Radio.
 
Qualifications:
  • Have a knowledge and understanding of a variety of effective fundraising engagement strategies.
  • Ability to integrate organizational strategic priorities with fundraising goals.
  • Personal authenticity and an ability to form trusted and sincere relationships with RPR’s diverse partners and fellow team members.
  • Commitment to service and promotion of philanthropy
  • Live a lifestyle that does not violate the teaching and beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church, according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
  • Firm commitment to the mission of RPR with an  appreciation and respect for the mission, vision, and history of Real Presence Radio. 
  • Belief in RPR’s product and services.
  • 3-5 years of fundraising experience.
  • Knowledge of estate planning processes

Leadership Tasks:

  • Lead the advancement strategy for Real Presence Radio by developing, implementing, and evaluating annual development plans.
  • Help manage all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, and implement new strategies to retain donor support.
  • Identify, and build and maintain meaningful relationships with major and leadership giving prospects to maximize philanthropic support.
  • Travel to visit with donors and prospects throughout the 5 state, 10 diocese listening area of RPR.
  • Monitor the progress of development activities and report their results to the Executive Director. 
  • Collaborate with and mentor RPR Listener Relationship Coordinators as you work as a team to advance the mission of Real Presence Radio.

Listener Relationship Coordinator – Western SD and Eastern WY

Part Time 25-30 hours per week

Our Mission:

Our Mission is to assist the Roman Catholic Church in drawing all people to the knowledge and love of Jesus and His Church through the medium of radio and other mediums, in full accord with the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

This person will assist the RPR Advancement Team with spreading the word about RPR, including help with fundraising for our Spring and Fall Live Drives, Fundraising Banquets in Rapid City, securing Major Gifts, Planned Giving and trade shows. 

Qualifications:

  • Living a lifestyle that does not violate the teachings and beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church, according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church
  • Firm commitment to the mission of RPR and its identity as a Catholic ministry
  • Thorough knowledge of the Roman Catholic Church & the Catholic faith, and a willingness to defend, explain & promote the same
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Fund raising skills and experience desired not required
  • Active Catholic community involvement and connection

Leadership Tasks:

  • Promote RPR in the local listening area
  • Schedule and give talks at parishes and at various Catholic gatherings, attend events and manage an RPR booth at state and local community events
  • Help gather sponsors, table hosts & manage local banquet committees for banquets
  • Seek and secure Challenge Gifts for Live Drives (spring & fall)
  • Assist Advancement Director in cultivating and securing major gifts and planned gifts
  • Attend, provide hospitality and co-host when necessary at live broadcast events
  • Be a member of the local Association of Fundraising Professionals
  • Other duties as assigned
